Practice Survey Reporting

During 2013/14 the group has worked on the "Patient Participation Enhanced Service". You can see the results of the survey that was conducted by clicking on the link at the top of this page.

Action plan following meeting

 It was agreed for the PRG to meet with the clinicians to learn why clinics ran over and why patients were kept waiting. A number of solutions were raised including giving complex patient’s double appointments to allow them to address all issues. Another solution was for one of the GPs that regularly ran over to start their clinic earlier and include blocked slots to allow for the over run so it would not impact on patients – the same amount of patients would be seen in a clinic session but over a longer time
 
It was agreed to encourage more of our patients to register for online ordering of prescriptions/booking appointments and advertise the website more proactively. Members of the PRG were concerned that not all patients had access to the internet, it was suggested by the group, to be forwarded to the practice to look into expanding the life Channel TV in the waiting room to include everything that was on the website and also look into a Jayex board that would inform all patients of what is happening not only within the practice but also the CCG and local area team as a whole.
 
Members of the PPG felt that it was to be expected that clinics would over run as that was the nature of the business. It was also agreed that all receptionists would alert patients when clinics were running over or late starting and give them the option to rebook, communication with patients was key.
